Now that Christmas is over, many people are looking at home improvement in time for next Christmas. Did you feel you lacked space for entertaining guests, or didn’t have somewhere cosy to sit and watch a movie? An Orangery or Conservatory can provide the space you need for every occasion.
Our orangeries and conservatories are multi-purpose living spaces. If you want something that’s cosy and warm, one of our solid roofed orangeries is perfect. If you prefer a sleek and stylish modern living space, our Alfresco range is perfect.
Home Improvement with sociable spaces
In 2020, many interior designers think that sociable spaces will be the ‘must-have’ home improvement this year. By furnishing your conservatory with a couple of sofas, you’ll have a room to entertain guests all year round.
Make sure you measure the furniture and your conservatory before buying anything! You don’t want to buy two sofas and find out they’re too big for your conservatory. If you’re having a TV as well, make sure everyone has a good view.
Grey was the go-to colour in 2019, and it’s still a popular choice for 2020. Try and match the accents on your furniture with your paint colours. If you’re concerned about your room being too dark, lighter paint colours can help make the room brighter.
For maximum natural light, a glass roof orangery or conservatory will let in loads of natural light. However, if you’re opting for a solid roof, a Velux roof window will also provide light and airflow to the room.
